Sheri Palmer is the Office Manager at In Focus Eyecare. She is a Missouri native and after spending a few years in Utah, she and her husband consider North Carolina their home. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Truman State University. Despite taking a few years off to be home with her 3 children, she has spent many years in the professional world gaining valuable legal, sales, management and non-profit experience. Most recently Sheri worked for the American Cancer Society as Income Manager for Gaston County where she was privileged to focus her efforts on one of her favorite causes…cancer prevention, education and finding a cure. Sheri is enjoying this time in her life running her teen and pre-teen children to their activities and watching them develop into responsible individuals. Kara Sides is the Optometric Technician at In Focus Eyecare. She was born in Columbia, SC, but lived in Dallas, TX, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, and Wilmington, NC before moving to Charlotte. Kara attended Western Carolina University and studied Elementary Education and Interior Design. She married her college sweetheart and moved to Fort Mill, SC, in 2009 where they reside with their Rottweiler. Kara has been an Optometric Technician since 2008 and is excited about moving forward with her Para optometric certification in the spring of 2012 with her first round of testing. She is our contact lens specialist and assists our patients with all of their contact lens need.

Laura Wall is the receptionist at In Focus Eyecare. She was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended the Renaissance School at Olympic High School and graduated with the class of 2009. After graduating high school she attended Meredith College studying general education and has since moved back to Clover, South Carolina. She now studies at the University of Phoenix in the Business Administration program. Her interests are spending time with her family and friends and is a movie lover. Laura is not only your first smiling point of contact at In Focus Eyecare, she works hard behind
the scene to make sure your insurance and records are prepared for your appointment.
